A beautiful hand painted piano by the French maker Erard.
The painting on the piano case is in the 18th Century ”Vernis Martin” style with a green ground, gilded ornament and framed pastoral and romantic scenes. The instrument, made in 1902 is of exhibition quality and was bought by descendants of our client.
Sébastien Érard was a French instrument maker of German origin who specialised in the production of pianos and harps, developing the capacities of both instruments and pioneering the modern piano.
